Clarification of ‘Out of Bounds’ reference in Liverpool Urban Race Final Details
To avoid any confusion, the out of bounds reference in the event final details was not intended to apply to those staying for the weekend, merely to those walking from the train station on Sunday morning.

It is, of course, unrealistic to expect people who stay overnight in Liverpool not to go into the area on Saturday afternoon/evening. As no controls will be placed until Sunday morning, anyone wanting to see the sights on Saturday will gain no more advantage than someone who already knows the area.

We would ask anyone who is staying over in Liverpool during the weekend to make their way to Princes Dock on Sunday morning as directly as possible by using the main dock road (i.e. Wapping/Strand St), walk towards James St station and join the route from there. We will rely on people’s honesty although there will be officials out on the area and anyone recognised as an Orienteer who is obviously searching out controls will be disqualified.

We do think it would be unreasonable to ask anyone to declare themselves uncompetitive on the basis of either living in or staying in the competition area and this was not the intent.
